Department of Government Ethics

Accompanied by Ye Yi-Zhang, Executive Director of Transparency International Chinese Taipei, the Regional Director of the Asia Pacific Department of Transparency International (TI) Srirak Plipat visited the DOGE on March 6^th, 2014. The honored guest conveyed the concept of the Asia Pacific Regional Programme of TI, sharing with the agency his valuable experience in the promotion of anti-corruption operations.

To promote the determination and methods of fighting against corruption and promoting the integrity of the City worldwide, DOGE held the Honesty Cup College Debate Contest and the Time to Wake Up 1209 International Anti-Corruption Day promotion events in response to the UN International Anti-Corruption Day in the second half of last year. University debate teams from mandarin-speaking countries, such as Malaysia and Macau were invited to participate in the contest. The guests from TI were also invited to witness the achievements of the promotion of administrative transparency, integrity voluntary service and the education of promoting integrity. Hoping to act as reference to advance the nation’s Corruption Perceptions Index ranked by TI, a walk-around presentation on the promotion of clean governance ethics services in-depth to Dr. Plipat was held at the DOGE during his visit to the ROC.
